When first captured, P-77 was around 2 years old and she appeared to be in good health. She was initially captured, radio-collared and released where she was found in the Simi Hills in November 2019. In November 2020, she was re-captured in the Simi Hills so her radio collar could be replaced. She weighs about 75 pounds and, according to biologists, she is a bit on the thin side. She is now estimated to be between 3 to 3.5 years old.
