Looking Back on 2022: from Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail Superintendent
About this article: This article was originally published in the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail 2022 Annual Report.
Hello, friends!
It is exciting to again have this chance to share a few of this year’s highlights of the accomplishments by the very talented employees, volunteers, and partners at the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail.
First, please utilize our Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail staff directory, located at the end of this report. These are the National Park Service employees, Omaha- based volunteers, and Western National Parks Association (WNPA) staff who are constantly working for you and the Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail. Their efforts are multiplied and enhanced by the work of our many friends and partners along the trail.
Together, these efforts are enormously important and have a huge positive impact on the Lewis and Clark Trail. Be sure to look at the section of this report that calls out and thanks our many partners. Please be sure to read the article about our very own Caitlin Campbell who won the Individual Freeman Tilden Award for our new Junior Ranger program! Do not miss the article about a very cool project called Terrain 360, or the exciting update about our Lewis and Clark Travel program, or our work to update the Lolo Trail National Historic Landmark nomination. You will not want to miss the article about the efforts to provide audio descriptions for video clips from the Tent of Many Voices. I don’t want to spoil all the surprises, so I will let you discover the rest of the highlights in this year’s annual report on your own.
With gratitude and kind thoughts from me to you, please enjoy this year’s Lewis and Clark National Historic Trail 2022 Annual Report!
