This welcome message provides basic information about visiting the park. The following is the address for the visitor center: Appomattox National Historic Park 111 National Park Drive Appomattox, VA 24522 The following Address is that of the park office: Appomattox Court House National Historical Park 239 George Peers Drive Appomattox, VA 24522 Appomattox Court House NHP is located 3 miles east of U.S. Highway 460, and 3 miles east of the modern town of Appomattox, Virginia along Rt. 24. The park may close due to emergency weather conditions (typically snow or ice). For updated information about possible closure or altered hours due to weather, please call 434-352-8987 ext. 245. Entrance Fee-free This site is fee-free year-round. No entrance fee or pass is required. Appomattox Court House Visitor CenterThe visitor center is located inside the reconstructed Appomattox Courthouse. It offers restroom facilities, visitor information and guidance, a 17-minute film, and exhibits focused on the history of Appomattox Court House. Guided talks and living history programs begin in the visitor center. Public WiFi is not available.
