Reservations and Timed EntryCadillac Summit Road Vehicle Reservations ReservationMay 22–Oct 27 Required to drive Cadillac Summit Road Vehicle reservations are not required for any other areas of the park, or for visitors who enter the area by foot, bike, or taxi. Vehicle reservations provide a timed entry, but do not require a departure time until 9 pm, when the road closes to vehicles. Reservations do not permit re-entry. Reservations are per vehicle, not per person. Reservations do not assign a specific parking space. Parking is prohibited outside of designated spaces. Cadillac is not served by the Island Explorer bus system. How often do you plan to visit national parks in the next 12 months?If you don't qualify for a discounted America the Beautiful pass, we recommend choosing an entrance pass based on your trip plans.
Entrance PassesA park entrance pass is required year-round. All vehicles must display a pass clearly visible through the windshield. Display federal lands passes, such as annual and military passes, on your dashboard with the signature and expiration date facing up. Passes are non-transferable and passholder must be present. A separate vehicle reservation is also required to drive Cadillac Summit Road from mid-May into October. Vehicle reservations are only sold online in advance and are not available for purchase at the park.
In addition to NPS locations in visitor centers and campgrounds, entrance passes are also available for purchase in-person at third-party sellers. These locations are not operated by the NPS and do not offer federal lands passes --

For VehiclesIf you enter the park in a motorized vehicle, your entrance pass covers both you and your passengers. Your passengers do not need a separate pass. Costs for vehicles with more than 15 passengers are listed below under Organizations and Businesses. Valid for seven days. Admits private, non-commercial vehicle (15 passenger capacity or less) and all occupants. This includes rental cars, RVs, and vans with fewer than 16 passengers. If the vehicle pass is purchased, no other pass is necessary. In-person Purchase Locations
Valid for seven days. Admits one or two passengers on a private, non-commercial motorcycle. In-person Purchase Locations
For Individuals without a VehicleIf you enter the park on a bicycle or on foot and are at least 16 years old, you need your own entrance pass. Children under the age of 16 don't need an entrance pass. Valid for seven days. Admits one individual with no car (bicyclist, hiker, pedestrian). Youth 15 and under are admitted free of charge. For Organizations & BusinessesSchool groups and other academic institutions may qualify for an Educational Fee Waiver. If not qualified, please check fees for large or commercial groups. Youth (15 years old and under): Free More information Annual Entrance - Park$70.00 The Acadia Annual Pass is valid only at Acadia and may be purchased online or in person. You do not need an additional entrance pass if you already have a federal lands pass. It is valid for 12 months from purchase month. This pass admits the pass holder and passengers in a non-commercial vehicle.

America the Beautiful Passes are non-refundable, non-transferable and cannot be replaced if lost or stolen. Passholders must show valid photo identification (ID) with each pass. How to Get an America the Beautiful PassIn Person (Recommended)Passes can be purchased or picked up at over 1,000 federal recreation sites. Order Online, Receive by MailTo receive your pass by mail, order online at the USGS Online Store . Online orders are for physical passes, not digital passes, and may take up to three weeks to be processed and delivered. Order receipts may not be used in place of a physical pass. We recommend ordering at least three weeks in advance of your visit, or picking up a pass in person instead. 2024 Free Entrance Days in the National ParksCome experience the national parks! If you want to have a pass shipped to you at home in advance of your visit, a variety of federal lands passes are available online. Otherwise, these passes are also easily available at in-person park sales locations listed above.

This is an annual pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or older.
This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents age 62 or over.
This is a free pass for U.S. military veterans, active duty personnel and their dependents, and Gold Star families with valid documentation.
Veterans:
Gold Star families: Please download a voucher to fill out before arriving at the park. Valid for life. This is a lifetime pass for U.S. citizens or permanent residents with permanent disabilities.
This pass is for volunteers acquiring 250 service hours on a cumulative basis. Learn about volunteer opportunities at Acadia.
This is a free pass for U.S. 4th grade students. Must bring printed voucher to exchange for pass. Please visit www.everykidoutdoors.gov for instructions on how to obtain the required printed voucher. This pass is valid for 12 months beginning September of the year the student begins 4th grade and valid until the following August.
