Yosemite Facelift, September 23-27, 2009

The Yosemite Facelift is sponsored by the Yosemite Climbing Association and is the park’s biggest volunteer event of the year. Volunteers come from all over the world to help clean up Yosemite near the end of the busy season, removing tens of thousands of pounds of debris each year. Did You Know?
The Merced River was designated a National Wild and Scenic River in 1987. Eighty-one miles of river runs through Yosemite National Park, including a stretch in Yosemite Valley.
