The Aleutian Islands World War II National Historical Area is a National Park Service (NPS) affiliated area. Affiliated areas are unique NPS units that are often managed jointly with another organization; in this case, the Aleutian Islands WWII National Historic Area is managed by the Ounalashka Corporation with technical assistance from the NPS. The Ounalashka Corporation provides visitor services and manages the actual lands of the Aleutian Islands WWII National Historic Area. Please note that land use permits must be obtained from the Ounalashka Corporation to visit the Historic Area. Find contact information below.
