Zion’s outreach program brings rangers into classrooms, and students into the park. During the school year, park rangers traditionally visit schools in surrounding communities and conduct curriculum-based programs for fourth and fifth grade students. Park rangers also host elementary-aged classrooms in the park, connecting resources to curriculum and providing guided hikes and interactive activities. Programs that link Zion resources to student learning objectives may include PowerPoint presentations, games, discussions, and/or activities.
