Located at mile 106.8 Richardson Hwy, about 10 miles south of Glennallen from the intersection of the Glenn Highway and the Richardson Highway, the Headquarters Visitor Center Complex in Copper Center is the best place to start your visit in the park.

The campus-like setting includes: a visitor center, a park store, an exhibit hall, a theater, restrooms, picnic tables and a picnic shelter, an amphitheater, the Ahtna Cultural Center, scenic overlooks and short hiking trails. Also, the park administration and business offices are located nearby.

Call the visitor center at (907) 822-7250 for dates and hours of operation in summer, since they may fluctuate each season. The visitor center parking lot gate is locked at 5 pm in summer (Closed in winter, spring and fall). The main park entrance gate is locked year-round at 5 pm. No overnight parking is permitted.
