Tour the Elizabeth Cady Stanton HouseElizabeth Cady Stanton lived in this house at 32 Washington Street, Seneca Falls, New York, from 1847 to 1862. Stanton referred to her home as "the center of the rebellion," in reference to her early work in the Women's Rights movement. The home was only a short distance from the Seneca River (now the Seneca-Cayuga Canal), making "Grassmere" an idyllic home for the Stanton family.
