Kimberly Szewczyk Named as Chief of Interpretation and Education at Women’s Rights National Historical Park

Seneca Falls, NY— Women's Rights National Historical Park Superintendent Noemi Ghazala is pleased to announce that Kimberly Szewczyk has been selected as the park’s new Chief of Interpretation and Education. Szewczyk comes to her new position from Fort Stanwix National Monument where she has been serving as Chief of Interpretation.

Szewczyk began her career in the National Park Service in 2001 as a seasonal park ranger at Lowell National Historical Park before joining the Northeast Region Lands, Concession, and Leasing Division as Realty Assistant.  She then headed to Valley Forge National Historical Park as Business Management Specialist before moving back to her original interest as a park ranger in interpretation.

"I am honored to join the dedicated staff at Women's Rights National Historical Park," Szewczyk said.  "The struggle for civil rights continues to resonate around the globe making the fight for women's suffrage as vital today as it was in 1848."

Szewczyk and her husband are native to New Hampshire and enjoy kayaking, hiking, and antiquing. Szewczyk will start her new duties on January 12th.
