Welcome to the wonders of Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument.

Are you visiting Virgin Islands Coral Reef National Monument? If so, you will find unique tropical ecosystems which include mangroves, seagrass beds, coral reefs, deep water reefs and algal plains, all interdependent on each other. The monument is comprised of 12,708 submerged acres and was established by Presidential Proclamation to protect these ecosystems. Monument waters include deep waters off the northern and southern boundaries of Virgin Island National park. The monument also includes the shoreline and waters of Hurricane Hole.
