Listed on the North Carolina State Memorial. This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Evander McNair's Brigade of Maj. Gen. Samuel G. French's Division (organized 21 June 1863), Gen. Joseph E. Johnston's Army of Relief, Department of the West and was commanded by Lt. Col. William B. Creasman. Lt. Col. Creasman was placed in charge of the defenses of Yazoo City, MS.
