Monument located on the south side of Union Avenue at the Navy Memorial (Park Tour Stop #7). Detailed from Admiral David Dixon Porter's fleet, the battery served two 8-inch Columbiads from 5 June 1863, until the end of the siege, 4 July 1863, and was commanded by Lt. Commander Thomas O.
