Multiple monument located on the old Jackson Road behind the Louisiana Memorial near the entrance to Beulah Cemetery (private). At the Battle of Chickasaw Bayou, this unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Louis Hébert's 1st Brigade, of Maj. Gen. Dabney H. Maury's Division, Maj. Gen. Carter L. Stevenson's 2d Military District, in Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana. During the Yazoo Pass Expedition, a detachment of the regiment was assigned as an unattached organization to Maj. Gen. William W. Loring's Confederate Forces, in Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Department of Mississippi and East Louisiana. Afterwards, the regiment was attached to Brig. Gen. Louis Hébert's 1st Brigade, of Maj. Gen. John H. Forney's Division, Lt. Gen. John C. Pemberton's Army of Vicksburg, and commanded by Lt. Col. J. T. Plattsmir and Col. Isaac W. Patton.
