Monument located on Union Avenue 250 yards south of the Iowa Memorial, just north of the Old Reunion Grounds. Also a marker designating the assault of 22 May 1863, located on Union Avenue just past Park Tour Stop #15. This unit was attached to Brig. Gen. Albert L. Lee (wounded 19 May 1863) & Col. James Keigwin's 1st Brigade of Brig. Gen. Peter J. Osterhaus' 9th Division, Maj. Gen'ls John A. McClernand (relieved of command 19 June 1863) & Edward O.C. Ord's XIII Army Corps and commanded by Col. John G. Fonda.
