 Valley Forge National Historical Park will commemorate the arrival of the Continental Army to Valley Forge in 1777 with March In to Valley Forge, an evening of special family-friendly programs from 6 PM to 8 PM on Saturday, December 14, 2024.  The National Park Service (NPS) and the Philadelphia field office of the United States Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) welcomed 21 new citizens on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 during a naturalization ceremony held at the statue of General Friedrich von Steuben in Valley Forge National Historical Park.  A new National Park Service report shows that 1.9 million visitors to Valley Forge National Historical Park in 2023 spent $27.2 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 411 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the economy of $44.7 million.  Valley Forge National Historical Park has issued a Request for Proposals (RFP) to lease and operate the Philander Chase Knox House as an Event Venue. This RFP seeks offers for a successor lease that will begin no earlier than May 1, 2026.  On Tuesday, December 19, 2023, Valley Forge National Historical Park will commemorate the 246th anniversary of the arrival of the Continental Army to Valley Forge in 1777 with free family-friendly programming and hands-on activities.  Twenty new American citizens were naturalized at a ceremony in Valley Forge National Historical Park.  Valley Forge National Historical Park's Visual Outdoor Inspiring Landscape Assistant (VOILA) volunteer team was selected as the 2022 recipient of the Region 1 George and Helen Hartzog Award for Outstanding Volunteer Service Impact Award in the team category. Most forests in eastern United States national parks are at risk due to browsing by overabundant white-tailed deer and crowding by invasive plants, according to a National Park Service (NPS) study published in the journal Ecological Applications.  On Saturday, December 17, 2022 Valley Forge National Historical Park will commemorate the 245th anniversary of the arrival of the Continental Army at Valley Forge with free family-friendly programming and hands-on activities.  Valley Forge National Historical Park and U.S. Citizen and Immigration Services (USCIS) welcomed 20 new citizens on Tuesday, July 5 during a special Independence Day-themed naturalization ceremony held in the park.
