It may seem easy to make the right decision, but in the moment there is a lot to consider! The Continental Army would not survive without vigilant sentries like you to keep an eye out for the encampment.
You have finished your watch and now you can go get something to eat—perhaps a friend bought some of the sutler’s foodstuffs and has enough to share. Then you can try to get some sleep in a wedge tent, which you share with five members of your squad. You have a blanket to keep warm, but your fellow soldiers do not smell very good (they do not take baths very often). Tomorrow, there will be more to do to keep this army running and safe.
