Thing to Do
Divide Ski Trail
The Divide Ski Trail is a 2.8 mile (4.5 km) round trip, more difficult, skier-tracked trail. Begin at Spring Creek Trail junction. The trail climbs up to a saddle on the Continental Divide. On a clear day, you may have views of Shoshone Lake and Mt. Sheridan. Return to Old Faithful via the Spring Creek Trail.
Notes: CAUTION: recommended for advanced skiers only due to steep terrain. Bison and elk frequent this trail. Federal regulations require you to stay at least 100 yards (91 m) away from bears and wolves, and at least 25 yards (23 m) away from bison and all other wild animals.
Check out the ski trail details and accessibility information at the bottom of this page.
The trail can be accessed from the Divide Trailhead at the junction with Spring Creek Trail.
This skier-tracked more difficult trail includes steep terrain. The trail elevation gain/loss is 546 feet. Service dogs allowed.
The Old Faithful area offers a variety of ski and snowshoe trails suitable for all ages, abilities, and interests.
