Ride the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad

All aboard the Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad! The National Park Scenic excursion is a unique way to experience Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Sit back and relax as the train weaves through the valley along the Cuyahoga River. On the way, keep an eye out for wildlife such as eagles, deer, beavers, and herons. For stories of the Cuyahoga Valley and its river, listen to the park's audio tour as you ride the train.
Visit Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad's website for tickets and detailed trip planning information. Rockside and Akron Northside are the primary stations. Schedules vary seasonally. Passengers can choose from a variety of seating options. The scenic railroad also offers group rates, private charters, and special events.
Shuttle with the Explorer Program
Seasonally, you can bike or hike the Towpath Trail or paddle the river in one direction, and ride the train back to where you started. Cuyahoga Valley Scenic Railroad has a car with a wheelchair lift and handicap-accessible restroom. Note that the wheelchair lift has a weight limit of 450 pounds. If you need to use the lift, select the "ADA Coach Car" when buying tickets.
