Moskey Basin via water taxi from Rock Harbor Lodge. Reservations needed in advance.
The junction for the Lake Richie Trail and Rock Harbor Trail is located 0.2 miles north of the Moskey Basin Campground. The Lake Richie Trail is about 2 miles long and connects Moskey Basin to Lake Richie. The Lake Richie Trail passes streams, wetlands, and rocky outcroppings. The Lake Richie Trail connects to the Indian Portage Trail at a junction. Continue to walk 0.2 miles west on the Indian Portage Trail to reach Lake Richie Campground.
Walking south on the Indian Portage Trail leads to Chippewa Harbor Campground. The Voyageur II ferry offers passenger service at Chippewa Harbor Dock. Reservations are necessary in advance.

All park visitors pay an entrance fee. Self-contained stoves only. Dogs, cats, and other pets are not allowed. Quiet hours are from 10:00 p.m. to 6:00 a.m. EDT/ 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. CDT.
Fishing licenses are not required for inland lakes and streams on the island. However, Michigan size, season, and possession limits still apply. Only barbless hooks and artificial lures and flies may be used on inland lakes and streams. A State of Michigan fishing license is required to fish in the waters of Lake Superior.
Individual tent sites are first come, first serve. Group tent sites must be reserved in advance.
ADA Information - Uneven, rough terrain throughout campground. Facilities are not accessible.
