NPS Photo The visitor center is located two miles north of U.S. Highway 50 along K-177, the Flint Hills National Scenic Byway, between Strong City (3 miles south) and Council Grove (17 miles north). Upon reaching the site, follow the signs for visitor center parking. The building has restrooms, water fountains, a short orientation film, Junior Ranger activities, exhibits, bookstore, and friendly rangers ready to help make your experience a good one. Welcome to Tallgrass Prairie National Preserve.
