This Discover our Shared Heritage “Travel Omaha, NE” website is produced by the National Park Service’s Historic Preservation Partnerships Program based out of the regional office in Omaha, Nebraska, serving Department of the Interior Regions 3, 4, 5 (Midwest Region).

Travel itinerary theme articles were prepared by former interns Kimberly Herman, Kristen Herrick, and Alexandra Straub who worked under the supervision of NPS Architectural Historian Michele Curran. Much of the property-specific content was prepared by Herman, Herrick, and Straub, with NPS Architectural Historian David Calease adding various sites and information following the conclusion of the internships. Additional review was conducted NPS Historic Preservation team members Rachel Franklin-Weekley, Mark Buechel, Geoff Burt, Dena Sanford, and Tim Schilling, as well as by Shelley McCafferty, Historic Preservation Planner with the City of Omaha.

Descriptions of historic places featured in this website are based on information in the files of the National Register of Historic Places and the National Historic Landmarks Program. National Register nominations can be found at the NPS National Register page or by contacting the Nebraska State Historic Preservation Office.
