Grantees must fulfill reporting requirements as specified in their Grant Agreement. This includes Interim Reports (as applicable) and a Final Report. All reporting documents must be received on or before their scheduled due dates or grantees will be out of compliance with their grant agreement.
The National Park Service transitioned to a new grants management system in October, 2020. As of December 1, 2020, all NAGPRA Grantees must register and submit grant reports and/or modification requests in GrantSolutions. Visit the Department of Interior's GrantSolutions Transition website for more information.
All new and existing grantees should use the "Manage Reports" portal to submit narrative and financial reports. If you cannot see your grant, or if you are unable to submit reports on behalf of your institution, you may not yet be registered, or have the correct user roles assigned to your GrantSolutions profile. See the GrantSolutions "Getting Started" page (Getting Started – Request A User Account) for more information.
Interim reports should describe the activities completed and funds expended during each interim reporting period. Grantees are required to submit interim progress reports for the duration of the grant. If a grantee receives an extension, they must continue to submit interim reports until the project is completed.
A complete interim report includes two (2) documents:
1. Interim Narrative Progress Report signed by grantee’s Authorized Organization Representative (AOR) - MS Word
2. Interim SF-425 Financial Report – Fillable PDF
A final report should describe the activities completed and funds expended for the entire duration of the grant. All grantees are required to submit a final report within 120 days of completing project work.
A complete final report includes:
1. Final Narrative Progress Report signed by grantee’s Authorized Organization Representative (AOR):
Suggested Template for Consultation/Documentation Grants: MS Word
Suggested Template for Repatriation Grants: MS Word
2. Final Budget
Suggested Final Budget Template: MS Word
3. Final SF-425 Financial Report

4. Grant Deliverables – provide one (1) copy of each deliverable as listed in the Grant Agreement (if applicable)
