Getting Started in GrantSolutions
We encourage new grantees to review the frequently asked questions section of the GrantSolutions website to understand how common actions will work in the platform. Common issues, like account creation, user roles, compatible web browsers, and how to receive technical assistance are all discussed. Grantees are responsible for creating, maintaining, and closing user accounts in GrantSolutions.Grant recipients will mostly use the Grants Management Module (GMM) of GrantSolutions. Additional training and information on common tasks is available from GrantSolutions. These tasks include:
- system navigation
- accepting a grant
- finding your grant
- managing amendments
- submitting reports
- how to log in and configure system roles
- using Grant Notes
- submitting amendments
Annual Report
An Annual Accomplishments Report is due annually to the Tribal Historic Preservation Program as a requirement of the THPO MOA Partnership Agreement. This MOA establishes the THPO relationship when a tribe assumes specific duties of the State Historic Preservation Office on Tribal lands. The THPO MOA is a separate agreement from your HPF grant agreement. Annual reporting for the THPO MOA is required regardless of whether or not a Tribe applies for or accepts HPF grant funds.
The Annual Accomplishments Report can now be filled out electronically with the link provided below. The new, digital form combines the old Annual Significant Accomplishments Report with data previously required in the Product Summary Report. If you have questions about the Annual Accomplishments Report, please email the THPO Program or call 202-354-6463.
All reports listed below are required as part of the annual report package under the Tribe's HPF grant unless otherwise noted in your grant agreement. Please review your grant agreement for due dates.
- Annual Accomplishments Report
- SF-425 Federal Financial Report (reporting on the first year of the grant) — submitted in GrantSolutions
- SF-428A Tangible Personal Property Report (required even if no equipment is purchased) — submitted in GrantSolutions
- any additional reporting requirements listed in your Tribe's grant agreement
Reporting on Development Grants or Grants Involving National Historic Landmarks
Development projects require the submission of a NEPA screening worksheet prior to work beginning. For projects involving National Historic Landmarks, we require additional documentation as a project notification, as well as a final project report. The contents of the final project report is described in the HPF Grant Manual.
Final/Close-Out Report
All reports listed below are required as part of the final Close-Out Report Package unless noted otherwise in your grant agreement and should be submitted using GrantSolutions. Please review your grant agreement for due dates.
- SF-425 Federal Financial Report (reporting on the full two years of the grant)
- SF-424A Final Budget (completed following these program-specific instructions)
- SF-424B Final Tangible Personal Property Report (required even if no equipment is purchased)
Due to new government-wide data sharing requirements, submission of late reports will affect a Tribe's ability to obtain other Federal funds.
- Duration:
- 21 minutes, 29 seconds
The THPO Historic Preservation Fund End-of-Year Reporting Webinar will review how to complete all of the required reports under the Tribal Historic Preservation Fund Grant Agreements and the Tribal Partnership Agreements with the National Park Service.
