One National Park, Two IslandsFerries depart from two locations: The Battery, at the southern tip of Manhattan in New York City, and Liberty State Park in Jersey City, New Jersey.
Warning: Statue City Cruises is the ONLY ferry service authorized by the National Park Service to sell tickets for, and provide transportation to Liberty and Ellis Islands. Numerous third-party vendors sell tickets at higher prices or for boats that do not land on the islands. Tickets should only be purchased at Statue City Cruises or by calling 1 877 LADYTIX (1.877.523.9849). Tickets can be purchased the day of your visit at the Statue City Cruises ticket windows at Castle Clinton in The Battery, NY or at the Statue City Cruises ticket windows in the historic railroad terminal in Liberty State Park in Jersey City, NJ. ![]() HFC Image Getting to the Ferry The Battery, Lower Manhattan, New York City: Visitors boarding ferries in Lower Manhattan should use public transportation whenever possible. For those who are driving, parking can be both expensive and difficult for those who are not familiar with traffic in New York City. Liberty State Park, Jersey City, New Jersey: Driving and parking at Liberty State Park is easier, but even here, visitors have options for public transportation. Accesible Parking near the ferry: The closest metered parking spaces to The Battery are on Battery Place. Private parking lots are available as well. Accessible restrooms are available in Castle Clinton National Monument. Driving to Liberty State Park GPS Address: 1 Audrey Zapp Drive, Jersey City, NJ 07305 Parking: Parking is available at Liberty State Park for a fee. Accessible Parking near ferry: Designated spots for those with official placards are available. There are level walkways to the ferry boarding area. Accessible restrooms are located within the Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal at Liberty State Park. |
