Nothing beats enjoying good food with a view, and Shenandoah offers ample opportunities to indulge all of your senses while picnicking at one of our scenic picnic grounds. Charcoal grills are provided for your use, and restrooms are available in the warmer months; accessible sites are also available at all picnic grounds. Just be sure to store your food properly and dispose of any trash so that it'll be just as beautiful on your next picnic! Picnic grounds are open year-round and can be found at the following areas:

 

• Dickey Ridge (mile 4.6)
• Elkwallow (mile 24.1)
• Pinnacles (mile 36.7)
• Big Meadows (mile 51.2)
• Lewis Mountain (mile 57.5)
• South River (mile 62.8) No fires allowed. No water available. Vault toilet only.
• Dundo (mile 83.7) No fires allowed. No water available. Vault toilet only.
