Fall broadcasts are back! The air is getting cooler and the leaves are beginning to change as autumn begins to take over Shenandoah National Park. Join us as we kick off our fall season with Ember Heishman, Communications Manager of Shenandoah National Park Trust. We'll be discussing the second annual Art in the Park event happening from September 27 to 29, as well as the current fall color report for the park.
Join us for week two of our 2024 fall broadcasts! We're joined by park ecologist, Alan Williams as we talk about the park's most popular overlook to view birds of prey, how to identify them from their silhouette, what the upcoming fall season has in store, and more!
This week, we have a conversation with one of our great park partners, the Shenandoah National Park Association. We'll explore their mission, the impactful work they do, and their vital role in supporting the park’s ongoing success.
Then, we’ll meet up with the education team as they share their exciting back-to-school initiatives. We'll also take part in one of their interactive programs, offering a look into how they teach young visitors how to connect with Shenandoah's rich cultural and natural history.
Join us as we talk to the PSAR crew about safety tips when exploring the park!
We are also joined by park botanist, Wendy, who gives us a clue as to what to expect from the fall season this year.
