Saratoga National Historical Park and the Friends of Saratoga Battlefield will soon welcome a series of distinguished scholars and historians for its annual Fall Lecture Series. These speakers will discuss a variety of topics to help us examine and better understand our shared histories as we approach the 250th anniversaries of the Revolutionary War and the founding of the United States. Saratoga National Historical Park, where the bravery and sacrifice of some of America’s first veterans helped change the world, will hold a Veterans Day Commemoration and Family Fun Day on Saturday, November 9 from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm.
A new National Park Service report shows that 102,000 visitors to Saratoga National Historical Park in 2023 spent $6.8 million in communities near the park. That spending supported 85 jobs in the local area and had a cumulative benefit to the local economy of $9 million.
Visitor access and understanding of one of the most historic landscapes in the country will increase with the recent completion of the $6 million Battlefield Tour Road Improvement Project funded by the Great American Outdoors Act (GAOA) Legacy Restoration Fund.
