This free annual camping permit is required if you are planning to camp on the St. Croix River between Highway 8 and the Soo Line High Bridge and outside of state parks. All other National Park Service campsites on the St. Croix and Namekagon rivers are first-come, first-served and do not require permits. To apply for this permit: Step 1: Print and complete the camping permit application. Use the free Adobe Acrobat Reader to download PDF files. Step 2: Mail the application to the St. Croix River Visitor Center, 401 N. Hamilton St., St. Croix Falls, WI, 54024, email to sacn_info@nps.gov or fax it to 715-483-3288. Please call (715) 483-2274 before faxing your application. A permit will be mailed to you. OR Stop by the St. Croix River Visitor Center and complete the paperwork in person.
