![]() Volunteer-in-Parks (VIPs)Volunteers contribute greatly to the success of national parks across the country. Each year volunteers give millions of hours of service to help preserve and protect the natural and cultural resources and values of the National Park System. VIPs provide support beyond our staff capacity for habitat restoration, maintenance, education programs, outdoor recreation, citizen science monitoring and more. ![]() Here at St. Croix National Scenic Riverway, VIPs are part of our Riverway Volunteer Program, a recently established co-managed volunteer program between the National Park Service and Wild Rivers Conservancy of the St. Croix and Namekagon, the non-profit friends group for the park. Riverway Volunteers work alongside National Park Service and Wild Rivers Conservancy staff to protect and restore the diverse resources of the St. Croix and Namekagon rivers and to enrich the experience of visitors.
