Be aware of lightning danger and know what to do in case of a storm. Camps are to be established inside rock rings. Number of Sites: 9 sites inside rock rings Elevation: 12,760 feet Distance: 6 miles from Longs Peak TH Approximate Travel Time: 5 to 8 hours Elevation Change: 3,360 feet gain Privy: YES Water Source: Water is available from Boulder Brook which runs among and under the boulders. Boil or adequately treat all water. To Reach the Trailhead (TH): Longs Peak TH: From Beaver Meadows Visitor Center follow Hwy 36 approximately 1 mile east then turn right onto Mary’s Lake Road and follow approximately 2.4 miles to Hwy 7. Turn right and follow Hwy 7 approximately 5.6 miles to Longs Peak Road. Turn right onto Longs Peak Road. The TH and Longs Peak Ranger Station are at the end of this road (approximately 1 mile). The TH is beside the Ranger Station. |
