Timber Creek Campground in Rocky Mountain National Park will be closed from noon on Tuesday, August 11, through noon on Friday, August 21, for resurfacing of the roads in the campground. No resurfacing has been done in the campground since it was first paved in the mid 1960s, over forty years ago. This work was initially scheduled to take place later in the summer. However, due to the availability of the equipment from the contractor conducting the work on Trail Ridge Road, the work has been rescheduled to begin next week. Timber Creek Campground is located on the west side of the park and is a first-come, first-served campground.
