GLREC Education

The GLREC Committment to Research Learning

In addition to facilitating and promoting research in partner parks, the GLREC is committed to investment and leadership in science-based stewardship and public engagement in science. The GLREC supports scientific inquiry and the communication of scientific information amongst the parks and their many stakeholders including educators, researchers, communities and community organizations, the public, and learners across generations. Fundamental goals include synthesizing and disseminating scientific information to (1) inform park resource management decisions, (2) improve scientific literacy, and (3) promote stewardship and civic engagement.

If you are intersted in diving directly into data, reports and research related to GLREC national parks OR applying to conduct your own research, visit the Research tab. If you are interested in getting involved in citizen science or volunteering as a way to engage in research learning, visit the Get Involved tab.
