At one time, the water of Lake Superior was thought to be too cold for invasive zebra mussels to survive, yet they have recently been found in Lake Superior. As our climate warms and the waters of this Great Lake warm with it, these invasive mussels are becoming an increasing threat to these vital ecosystems.
