Historical/Interpretive Information/Exhibits, Parking - Auto, Trailhead
Multiple trail options begin at the Bayview Trailhead off of Limantour Road, leading either down to the coast or along Inverness Ridge. Both the Bayview Trail and the Inverness Ridge Trail depart from this trailhead and connect with the Sky, Laguna, Drakes View, Bucklin, and Muddy Hollow Road trails.
The western leg of the Bayview Trail leads downhill through bishop pine trees and coastal scrub to the Muddy Hollow Trailhead, where you can continue on the Muddy Hollow Trail all the way to Limantour Beach.
The eastern leg of the Bayview Trail parallels Limantour Road east to the Sky Trailhead, connecting with the Laguna Trail along the way.
Or follow the Inverness Ridge Trail from the Bayview trailhead northwest along the crest of the ridge to Point Reyes Hill, one of the highest locations within Point Reyes National Seashore.
The Bayview, Bucklin, Drakes View, Laguna, and Muddy Hollow Road trails pass through the Phillip Burton Wilderness. The Vision Fire burned through this area in October 1995.
