Grant Village was built in 1984 and named after Ulysses S. Grant, president when Yellowstone became the world’s first national park in 1872. Located near the West Thumb of Yellowstone Lake, Grant Village features six two-story buildings, each containing 50 rooms. The lodging complex features a full-service restaurant, a lakeside restaurant with a casual menu, a lounge and a gift store. The village is also nearest to Grand Teton National Park. This reservable lodging facility is operated by Yellowstone National Park Lodges, an authorized National Park Service concessioner.

Amenities & Operating Dates

Specific offerings are typically open daily from late-May through early-October:
  • Lodge: a range of lodge-style rooms offering private bathrooms, mini-refrigerators, heat, coffee makers, hairdryers, alarm clocks, and fans. No smoking/vaping, WiFi, air conditioning, TVs, or pets allowed.
  • Dining Room: serving breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Breakfast and lunch are first-come, first served; reservations are required for dinner. Advanced reservations are only available to overnight lodging and campground guests.
  • Gift Shop: offering souvenirs and apparel for purchase. Located next to the registration desk.

Accessibility

Accessible lodging options include 12 ADA-accessible rooms featuring roll-in showers, accessible toilets and sinks, and one queen bed. Wheelchairs are available for loan at the lodge for guests and at the nearby visitor center while in the area, and accessible parking is available at the lodging registration building.
