Friends of the Oregon Caves and ChateauThe Friends of the Oregon Caves and Chateau was established in 2008 in partnership with the National Park Service. Their mission is to preserve, protect, and improve the cultural and natural resources of Oregon Caves National Monument & Preserve. One of their first major initiatives is the restoration of the historic Oregon Caves Chateau, a significant cultural landmark within the monument. However, the restoration of the Chateau is just the beginning. The Friends group is also involved in numerous other projects aimed at preserving the integrity and beauty of the monument's cultural and natural resources. They continue to engage in efforts that help fulfill their mission to safeguard the rich history and environment of Oregon Caves. Siskiyou Field Institute (SFI)The Siskiyou Field Institute (SFI) is dedicated to fostering a deeper scientific understanding and a more personal connection to the Klamath-Siskiyou bioregion. Through a variety of educational programs and outdoor experiences, the SFI serves a broad audience, helping individuals learn about and appreciate this ecologically unique area. The SFI plays a key role in supporting the Oregon Caves education outreach watershed program, helping to expand educational initiatives related to the monument’s natural resources.
