The Federal Lands Recreation Enhancement Act (FLREA) allows the park to retain 100% of the fees collected for use on maintenance and infrastructure improvements, and interpretive services projects which directly benefit visitors.

Some of the projects that are in progress:

Enhancing Night Sky educational programs to schools and visiting public.
Updating and replacing outdated bulletin boards throughout the park.
Replacing more port-a-johns with vault toilets.

Completed projects:

Vehicle barrier and trail tread repaired by YCC crew at Lilly Bluff Parking Lot.
Replaced port-a-johns with vault toilets at several trailheads.
Created a new official park handbook with vital information about the park.
Established a new parking area at Obed Junction.
