North Cascades offers interpretive programs, ranger-led walks and talks, in various locations throughout the summer. See the details for each area of the park by following the links below or checking locally at visitor centers.
 

Seasonal Ranger Programs by Area - 2017

Skagit District (Highway 20 and Skagit River)

Evening Programs - Join a ranger for a 30-minute talk in the campground amphitheater to discover one of the many fascinating stories of the North Cascades. Programs in the Newhalem Creek Campground Amphitheater seven nights a week at 7:30 pm. Look for program topic announcements at the North Cascades Visitor Center or on campground bulletin boards.

Diablo Lake Overlook - Join a ranger at the Diablo Lake Overlook to discover the natural and cultural history embedded within the stunning mountain landscape surrounding Diablo Lake.

Historic Newhalem Walking Tours - Join a Skagit Tours guide for an easy one-hour guided walk through Newhalem to explore the history of the once bustling company town and the Skagit Hydroelectric Project. The one-half mile roundtrip walk starts at the Skagit Information Center.

Newhalem by Night - Join a ranger for a for a slideshow presentation on the history of City Light in the North Cascades and the role of the town of Newhalem in building and operating the Skagit River Hydroelectric Project. The grand finale of the evening will be the historic Ladder Creek Falls light show. For more information visit, Skagit Tours.

Hozomeen (north end of Ross Lake)

Evening Programs - Join a ranger for a talk in the amphitheater to discover one of the many fascinating stories of the North Cascades. Look for International Interpretive Program topic announcements on campground bulletin boards.
