Join a ranger to discover one of the many fascinating stories of the North Cascades! Ranger programs are typically available June to early September.

2024 Summer Programs:

Junior Ranger Program
Become a Junior Ranger at this interactive 30-minute program and explore what makes
North Cascades a special place.
Meet at North Cascades Visitor Center
10 am daily, starting July 1

Campground Talk
Join a park ranger for a 30-minute talk to discover one of the many fascinating stories of
the North Cascades.
Meet at Colonial Creek South Amphitheater
4pm daily, starting June 13

All About Bears Program
Learn all about bears, their behavior, and how to stay safe in bear country.
Starting June 15
Saturday, Sunday, Monday
10:30 am Colonial Creek Campground Amphitheater
2 pm Newhalem Creek Campground Amphitheater

Newhalem Walk
Take a 45-minute walking tour of historic Newhalem with a park ranger. Discover stories of
the historic town, the Skagit River, and the North Cascades.
Meet at Skagit Information Center
4 pm Thursday and Friday, starting July 4

For more information, talk with a ranger at any visitor and information centers or campgrounds during the summer. Programs are free of charge and appropriate for all ages and abilities. All programs are subject to change due to ranger availability.
