A steep path from the landing leads to the visitor center. People in wheelchairs may need assistance. Inside are restrooms, interactive exhibits covering a broad range of topics, a 3-dimensional relief map and other touchable objects, the Golden West Gallery displaying artwork related to this special place, and a ten minute wilderness slide show. Closed captioning for the slide show is available upon request. A courtesy wheelchair is available with advanced request. The visitor center is open during the summer season.
