Whether you are into outdoor activities such as climbing, biking, hiking, whitewater rafting, or just like to enjoy a picnic, a quiet bit of birding, or camp and watch the river roll by, New River Gorge National Park and Preserve has much to offer. The park provides visitors with an opportunity to learn more about the cultural history of the area and visit some of the historic sites within the park. There are many possibilities for extreme sports as well as a more relaxing experience.
