Camp Brookside Environmental Education Center

The Camp Brookside Environmental Education Center is located in Brooks, West Virginia. This 32 acre island hosts a recently restored residential facility;complete with seven cabins, communal wash house, large mess hall and commercial kitchen. Camp Brookside can house groups of up to 38 for overnight stays in the spring through fall. Camp Brookside is available for short term leasing. Additional amenities include WIFI throughout the premises, access to a large library, some field study tools and a one mile hiking trail. Camp Brookside offers scenic views of the New River and Brooks Falls, a class three rapid.

Directions

Camp Brookside Environmental Education Center is located at 309 North Mullens Road, Hinton, WV. Get off I-64 at the Hinton/Sandstone Exit (exit 139) and head south towards Hinton on Route 20 South. Follow Route 20 south for 5 miles. When you come to the small town of Brooks, turn right on North Mullens Road. Make a quick left just after crossing the railroad tracks and follow the dirt road to Camp Brookside.
