Navajo National Monument is open year-round, but the Visitor Center is closed for Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Day. Three (3) self-guided trails and Sunset View Campground remain open even when the Visitor Center is closed.

  • Regular Business Hours: The Visitor Center is open daily from 9AM to 5PM (MDT).
  • Winter Conditions: Please be advised that the park may experience delayed openings or closure due to severe winter weather. The road to the park may be impassible.
  • Time Change: From March to November, the Navajo Nation including the park observes Mountain Daylight Savings Time (MSDT) which is one hour ahead of the rest of Arizona (Flagstaff, Page, Grand Canyon).
  • Know Before You Go: Check weather forecasts, share your travel plans, know your physical limits, and plan your trip accordingly.
  • Contact Park: Dial 911 for emergencies. Call park staff for more park information at 928-672-2700 or email park staff.
