Notice to the Public: Temporary Closure of Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site

September 9, 2026: The Mary McLeod Bethune Council House National Historic Site will be temporarily closed from 9:00 a.m. September 9, 2026 until 9:00 a.m. January 27, 2027 for the rehabilitation of the home’s exterior and interior and to clean the home’s historic artifacts.
