September 13, 2026, September 19, 2026, October 14, 2026, October 17, 2026: Anacostia Drive SE, from South Capitol Street to past the Anacostia Park Skating Pavilion in Anacostia Park, will be closed to vehicular traffic from 6:00 am until 10:00 am on September 13, 2026, September 19, 2026, October 14, 2026, and October 17, 2026.
Violation is prohibited. A map illustrating the closed park areas is attached.
These temporary closures and public use limits are necessary for the protection of pedestrians, including those who will participate in and observe permitted foot race events along Anacostia Drive SE in Anacostia Park. Persons with vehicles in these park areas should remove their vehicles from the closed park areas by 6:00 am on September 13, 2026, September 19, 2026, October 14, 2026, or October 17, 2026.
