Natural Bridges

Things To Do

Natural Bridges has a lot to offer. Explore the park by car or foot, watch the stars, listen for birds, and more!

Auto Touring

The scenic drive is open year-round, weather permitting. Enjoy the unique beauty of the high desert: bright-white slickrock streaked with desert varnish, pinyon-juniper forest cover, and surrounding mesas and mountains. This paved, nine-mile loop is the main park road and gives access to viewpoints and trailheads. A picnic area with covered tables (including an accessible picnic site) is also located along the loop. Please note that the bridges are not visible from the road; short walks from the drive lead to viewpoints for each bridge and Horse Collar Ruin.

    Take a Hike!

There's no better way to see a natural bridge than to walk through it. Take a walk on the trail and get up close with the bridges.

  • a massive stone arch with the Milky Way and stars overhead
    Discover the Dark

Home to some of the darkest skies in the country, Natural Bridges was the world's first "International Dark Sky Park."

    Bird Watching

Everything you need to know about bird watching in the park.

Ranger-led Programs

Natural Bridges rangers offer a variety of activities spring through fall. Rangers present guided walks, overlook talks (along the loop drive), patio talks (at the visitor center), and astronomy talks with telescope viewings. Times and topics vary; program scheduling may change or be cancelled due to safety regulations regarding COVID-19. Please contact the park or check bulletin boards for current schedules.

Arts in the Park

Enjoy the arts in the park! The Community Artist in the Parks program connects park visitors to the arts. You can meet the artist at Natural Bridges. Check the calendar below for details.
