Park Regulations

Natural Bridges preserves habitat for a variety of plants and animals. Visitors may see mule deer browsing, hear the falling notes of a canyon wren, or smell the sweet aroma of spring wildflowers. To guard these experiences for future generations, please observe the following regulations. More park policies can be found on the Laws & Policies page and in the Superintendent's Compendium.

Archeological Site Etiquette
Do not enter archeological sites, touch rock art, or disturb artifacts. Once removed from context, the story they can tell is gone forever. Learn how to be a good visitor at archeological sites.

Bicycles and Vehicles
Vehicles and bicycles must remain on designated roads. Bicycles are not allowed on park trails. Vehicles may not be left unattended overnight along the loop road.

Camping
Camping is permitted only in the campground. Camping is not allowed in the backcountry or along any park road or trail.

Firearms
Using firearms is prohibited in the park. However, people who can legally possess firearms under applicable federal, state, and local laws may legally possess firearms in this park. You must understand and comply with all applicable state, local, and federal firearms laws before entering this park. Read more about firearms regulations in national parks.

Pets
Pets on a leash (6 feet max) are allowed on public park roads, parking areas, established picnic areas, paved trails to overlooks, and the campground. Pets are not allowed on trails and in any backcountry area. Read more about pets at Natural Bridges.

Rock Scratches = Graffiti
Writing or carving on rocks is graffiti and is illegal. Please join us in protecting the park by not leaving your mark. If you discover graffiti in the park, please let us know. Otherwise, make memories, take pictures, but leave no visible trace of your visit.

Stay on Trails
Keep to the marked path, slickrock, or dry stream beds to protect biological soil crust and fragile plant life. Leave water for wildlife: do not disturb pools or intermittent streams by bathing or swimming.

Unmanned Aircraft (Drones)
The use of unmanned aircraft (drones) is prohibited to protect public safety, minimize visitor-use conflicts, and prevent unacceptable impacts to scenic values, natural soundscapes, and wildlife. Read superintendent's determination on unmanned aircraft

Walking on Bridges
Climbing, scrambling, walking or standing upon, or rappelling off any bridge in the park is prohibited. Enjoy bridges from overlooks or hike into the canyon to walk beneath them.
