Join a member of the park staff and walk in the footsteps of history. Check out the schedule below to see what programs will be offered during your visit. All programs are weather and staffing permitting.

Early Fall, September 1st-October 13th

Henry Hill Tours

Join a park staff for a tour on Henry Hill discussing the major action of the First Battle of Manassas on the ground where the battle was fought. 

Programs will be offered at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Thursdays through Sundays only, and last approximately 45 minutes. Meet outside the doors of the visitor center by Ricketts' Battery.

Stone House Open

Join park volunteers inside the Stone House, one of three structures left on the battlefield that witnessed the battles of Manassas. Over the years, it was used in a variety of different ways such as a home, a business, a hotel, and a hospital. 

There are no guided tours, but guides are on hand to chat informally and answer questions about the structure and its history, open house style.

This building will be open until Indigenous Peoples Day on most Saturdays and Sundays subject to staffing availability. Check with the visitor center front desk on the day of your visit to verify that it is open.

Brawner Farm Open

Join park volunteers at the Brawner Farm, site of the opening fight of Second Manassas on August 28, 1862. Inside the house, you will find exhibits about the battle, more information that will assist as you begin the driving tour, and staff who can answer your questions.

The grounds of the Brawner Farm are open 7 days a week from sunrise to sunset. However, the house is only open occasional weekends through the fall based on staffing availability. Check our calendar or call the visitor center on the day of your visit to confirm that it will be open. Typical open hours are 12-4.  

 

Late Fall, October 14th-November 12th

Henry Hill Tours

Join a park staff for a tour on Henry Hill discussing both the First and Second Battles of Manassas on the ground where the battle was fought. 

The Battle of First Manassas program will be offered at 11 a.m. daily.
The Battle of Second Manassas program will be offered at 2 p.m. Thursday - Monday.

Both programs meet outside the rear doors of the visitor center by Ricketts' Battery and will last approximately 45 minutes.
