Established in 1940, Manassas National Battlefield Park preserves over 5,000 acres of Virginia countryside and the site of some of the bloodiest fighting in the American Civil War. The locations of some of the most pivotal moments of that conflict still retain their wartime character. Henry Hill, the unfinished railroad, Chinn Farm may be peaceful today, but echo of the violence and sacrifice that took place there many years ago. These and other sites on the battlefields of Manassas can be reached by following hiking trails and driving tours. Nation Park Service rangers and volunteers gladly answer your questions and help you make the most of your visit. |
