![]() NPS Manassas National Battlefield Park works with many different living history groups that represent a wide cross section of soldiers and stories from Civil War. Living historians are passionate volunteers who travel from all over the country, giving of their time to demonstrate life during the war. Each group offers different presentations based on their unit and their interests. Typically, they may have visitors wander through their encampment or offer a firing demonstration. Sometimes, they do family programming or invite visitors to watch them drill. The one thing they all have in common is that they love to interact with the public and share their passion for Civil War history! Our in-house park volunteers, the Bull Run Legion fire both small arms and our cannon at various times throughout the year, and members of that crew assist with park field trips and school events. Below is a schedule of programming for 2025. This schedule is subject to change without notice.
